Week 5

Not a bad night for golf.  What am I saying!!!!  I washed a few balls last night.

One third of the way through the season: the team of Hemphill and Oravec took over 1^st place from the team of Deyette and Deyette. 

SandBagger of the Week: 

Now the true sandbaggers are starting to come out! Both Mark Stadnicki and Tom Wieland shot a net round of 29.  Good round, Gentlemen! 

Byrdie Club: 

Only 1 birdie last night: Mr. Kevin Kearns.  Mr. Kearns bagged his birdie on the par 4 12^th hole.  Nice shooting Mr. Kearns!  But you still owe a pitcher!!! 

Eagle Club:

Hey at least my wife isn’t the (lone) sandbagger this week… Congrats to Bill and Terri Deyette for posting a net round of 34. Good round golfers!

The weather is warming and so are the birdies: 2 this week – 1^st bird of the year goes to Bill Deyette who bagged his bird on the par 5 11^th hole.  Also birding the 11^th hole was Ed Williams.  Great shots, gentlemen!

I would like to welcome our newest golfer, Terri Deyette!

I wonder how much is an out-of-state fishing license is, in CT?  We saw some big fish in the stream on 16.

Larry Myers and T.C both shot a net round of 36.  I don’t know if Larry should have made this list.  Then again, he was playing against Kevin!  Good round Gentlemen!

2016 End of Season Outing and Banquet

Wow did we luck out on the weather.  (I wish my golf game was as lucky!)

I like to thank St. Anne’s – the course was in good shape, even after the down-pour.  The food was excellent and they even gave us a break on the price.  You can’t ask for anything more (maybe the 6 foot putt for birdie on the 6^th hole, but that another story!). 

First off – I would like to pass on our well wishes to Dave W.

My goal (it might be impossible) is to pick a tournament date that we all can play!   Manny \ Zogger – it was pouring buckets.  Oh wait, that was before we teed off!  We missed you guys on the course.

Meyer did a great job managing the money… every team got a prize.

Tournament Play:

                1^st place team with 3 under: Kevin, Mark, Ed and Larry

                2^nd place team was a tie after matching cards: John, Bill O., T.C. and Bill G.

                3^rd Place team: Dave, Len, Meyer, and Brian

                4^th place team: Bill D., Tom, Joe, and Ted

                Longest drive: Bill D.

                Closest to the pin: Joe @ 4’7”

Man our zingers were a little quiet yesterday.  I guess we can’t have Kevin and Larry on the same team.  So I had to come up with some of my own;

                Why did Meyer have extra money at the end of the year?   The price of gas went down!  Da Dum Dum!  

                And I’m not even going to repeat the one about: where is “someone’s” sleeve of balls.
