Week 3

We were lucky last night – just some heavy dew!

I know it’s ‘a little’ early to start talking about this, but there are some teams that may give the defending champs KEARNS / RUSSELL a run for their money, this year.

SandBagger of the Week: Shaun Macklin – Shaun shot a fine net 27. Hmmm, I wonder if his new partner this week, S. Garcia, was giving him golf tips. Great round Shaun!

Byrdie Club: There’s one new member and one returning member, this week. New member, Len Stadnicki with a beautiful chip in for a birdie on the 9th hole and returning member, Meyer Frankel almost acing the par 3, 7th, leaving it just 1 inch from the cup. We almost had to resurrect the ‘Hole-in-One’ Club. Good shooting gentlemen!

Like always, if you need a sub, let Meyer and myself know.

Week 2

A good night for golf!

I didn’t hear of anyone hitting the barn, on the 10th hole, but I did hear it on the 18th hole (Len)!

It was a little windy out last night and it did affect the flight of the golf ball. Just ask Shaun, he hit a 9 iron on the 10th hole and put it in front of the green. The 17th green! Go figure!

Just a little note: for those who didn’t know, it was Rob’s birthday, yesterday. A big 35! All Rob wanted, for his birthday, was to win his match. Well he was playing me and all I can say, it’s the thought that counts. Happy Birthday Rob! See the stats for the outcome.

Rob is sad because Dave won't give him any beer on his birthday.

SandBagger of the Week: Fine round by Bob Minardi, who said he, never, played the back 9 before. Bob shot a net 33. Good round Bob!

Byrdie Club: President Jason has two new members: Marilyn Dolan and Mike Galiszuski. Marilyn picking up her birdie on the 10th hole and her partner Mike getting his on the 16th hole! Great shooting golfers! (4 out of 20 = 20%)

Eagle Club: No members (yet)

Week 1

It was a beautiful night for golf or in my case a long walk around the golf course!

Fore most, I want to welcome new golfers to the Phoenix Golf League: Shaun Mackin, Craig Michaud, Jason Zwanch, and Len Stadnicki. Welcome golfers!

For the first week of the stats, I included a few brief descriptions or outlines throughout the report. We have a few new golfers and this will be the first time seeing the weekly stats.

I’m including a picture along with the stats. This picture is along the lines, of getting a picture of Big Foot or of the Yeti. I thought I would never see this in my life time!

Back to golf:

SandBagger of the Week: The first week and the first Sandbagger is: Rob Pierce. Rob is continuing his strong play, picking up where he left off at the end of last year season. Paul Morano is still wondering why he was giving Rob strokes! Rob shot a fine 33 net. Good Round Rob!

Byrdie Club: This years President of the Byrdie Club is Jason Zwanch with birding the 9th hole. It was a close Presidential race with Jason barely beating out Meyer Frankel, who came in a close 2nd, with his birdie on the tough 7th hole. President Zwanch was heard to say, that he expects a 100 percent participation in the Byrdie Club. So the first week, 2 out of 20 are in the Byrdie Club – 10%. Nice shooting gentlemen!

Eagle Club: This is a very exclusive club and only the very best are allowed join. Can last years President, Kevin Kearns pull off a re-election??

If there are any questions about your scores, I keep the score cards, so it can be verified.

Next week we play the back nine.

If you need any subs or have a sub to play for you, let Meyer or I know.

I missed seeing a few golfers after the rounds were done. It was a little sparse at the club house. Was ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on last night??

See you all next week,

Dave
