Rainout!!!

New Phoenix Golf League rule:

·         We don’t play golf unless it’s above freezing!
·         Any chance of inclement weather, Gene and Larry are NOT going off first!

It will be the same teams against each other, again, next week.

We’ll be going off the front nine.  If you don’t know where the front nine is, look for the tree with missing bark! Kevin has pictures.

I’ll be sending out the tee times later this week.

Subs for next week: John and Ed R.

Week 4

You got to love New England weather!

We had a Dan Crawford sighting.  Welcome back Dan!

Hey maybe will see Ron on the course, if he makes it back up this way.

SandBagger of the Week:

Bill Deyette shot a fine 32 net.  Nice round Bill!

Byrdie Club:

We have one newbie:  Tommy Wieland, who shot his bird on the ever popular par 3, 7th hole.  Did I hear right, that you use a tree iron, off the tee?? Great shot Tom!

Eagle Club:

Copied from last week:
Manny was knocking on the door – (but don’t) see Byrdie Club.

Manny was pin high on the 9th hole,  I guess he didn’t have any money for pitchers of beer!

If you need a sub, let me know.

Week 3

Welcome back Gene!

The course is already in the July mode – hard and fast!

SandBagger of the week:

There was a tie between John Hemphill and Tom Confrey.  Both shot a fine net 33.  Great round gentlemen!

Byrdie Club:

We have two new members – Bill Oravec got his bird on the par 4 12th hole. While Manny Russell, who almost made it into the Eagle Club, got his bird on the par 5 11th hole.  Great shooting gentlemen!

Eagle Club:

Manny was knocking on the door – see Byrdie Club.

Something you don’t see every day: the four-some of TC, Ed R., Gene and Larry all parred the 18th hole.

If you need a sub, let me know.

Bill G.s approach on 8 ended up in front of the ladies tee's on 9.  Or as Ted put it "The ladies tees, where you should be playing from!"

Hermann's tee shot on 9 hit the barn roof and bounced over.  Into more trouble.

Zogger!!!
