Week 5

Dodged another bullet.  We got the round in before it rained!

If you go onto Bill G’s blog, you will see a picture of my brother holding 2 dollars and smiling.  Let me explain the reason why Bill was smiling, he was thinking:  "They paid me 2 dollars to beat Dave.  When I would have paid them to allow me to play Dave, so I could beat him!

There have been a few sideline discussions on starting the rounds a little later: say around 4:30.  There are a few golfers who are scrambling to make the earlier tee times.  It doesn’t bother me starting later.  I don’t think there is another league behind us.  I’m going to go with the flow.  Think about it and I would like to hear what every thinks and I’m opened up for some or any solutions.

SandBagger of the Week:

Ted Cowles who shot a fine net 32.  Great round Ted!

Byrdie Club:

One newbie this week: Kevin "I’ll buy the pitcher next week!" Kearns bagged his bird on the par 4 8th hole.

Eagle Club:

Another almost on the 8th hole,  see the picture on the blog.  I shouldn’t have to say whose ball it was.

Week 4

Turned out to be a great night for golf!

The wild life is starting to come out.  I’ve seen a few chipmunks, a turtle and some big mosquitoes.

Rob’s back and is in rare form.  Just ask his partner, Tom.

No one hit the barn on the 10th hole.  Hitting it on 18th hole doesn’t count (I guess it counts to the person who hit it).

SandBagger of the Week:

Dave "Can I play off the Yellow Tees?" White, shot a very fine net of 27.  Great round Dave!

Byrdie Club:

We have one new member and you guessed it: Dave "Can I play off the Yellow Tees?" White bagged his bird on the par 4 12th hole.  Great shot Dave!

Eagle Club:

Still nada!

Squirrel Club:
Tom Wieland who bagged his first squirrel last week.  Tom and Squirrel are doing fine!  Great shot Tom?

Week 3

Good thing for the breeze…it kept the bugs off of you!

SandBagger of the Week:

It’s a brother grouping:  Bill and Dave Deyette both shot a net round of 42.  Great round Gentlemen! (but my round was better!)

Byrdie Club:

Well President Zogger has company:  Bill Deyette got his bird on the par 4 2nd hole.  While Ted Cowles bagged his bird on the par 4 6th hole and his partner Joe Alvarez birdied the par 4 8th hole. Great shots Gentlemen!

Eagle Club:

Almost…Joe gave it his best shot by bouncing his eagle chip off the stick.

End-of-the-Year Tournament:

There were replies back about not making the Oct 4th and Oct 17th, so I’m trying for Saturday Oct 10th.

Week 2

Does anyone remember Spring???  I think we went right into Summer!

It was good to see Dan back on the course!

Wow not one drive off the barn last night!

After last night, I should be really good with my Tree Wood and Tree Iron…

SandBagger of the Week:

Dan "Rob" Crawford shot a fine net 30.   This took away Mr. President’s as SandBagger… I’m getting ahead of myself!  Great round, Dan!!

Team SandBagger award: Gallagher / Keilich – for a team who doesn’t show up and still gets catapulted into 2nd place.  I think their hcps should adjusted – 2 strokes lower should do it!

Byrdie Club:

Dave Zogbaum or should I say  President Zogger.  Dave is now looking to fill his cabinet with a few good golfers.  Hopefully he won’t have long to wait!  But I degress, Dave shot his bird on the par 5 11th hole.   Great shooting Mr. President!

Eagle Club:

Within the next 3 weeks!
