Passing this along from Kevin:
I saw Gene and his wife at Big Y in Ellington last night leaving with prescriptions.
His wife is doing okay.
SandBagger of the Week:
There’s a tie between Dave White and for the 3rd week out of 4, Ted "Who’s your Daddy?" Cowles, both shooting a fine 32 net. Great round gentlemen!
Byrdie Club:
No one (really?)

Week 6
It didn’t rain!!!
Let welcome back Ron Waid and Zogger. It was good to see them on the course again.
Also welcome Keith Wackes – this was Keith 1st time playing with the league. Now that Keith got his feet wet, we hope to see a little more of him in the coming weeks.
SandBagger of the Week:
This was a tag team event. Team of Kearns / Russell both shot a very fine net round of 28. I pity the team that played against them last night (really pity – I would have even taken a pity putt, too!). But to have 2 golfers from the same team both netting 28 is really rare. Great rounds Kevin Kearns and Manny Russell
Byrdie Club:
Let start with the newbie to the club: Joe Alvarez – Joe shot his bird on the par 5 11th hole. Great shot Joe
We also had 2 returnees: (see SandBagger of the Week)
First off: Kevin Kearns shot his 1st bird of the night on the par 5 11th hole followed by birdying the par 5 16th hole.
Second, not to be out done by his partner: Manny Russell birdied the par 4 12th hole and then added another bird on the par3 15th hole.
Both Kevin and Manny then preceded to check their financial portfolio before heading back to the club house.
Great shooting Gentlemen!
At least all those birdie pitchers helped ease my butt whipping!!
Golfers needing a sub for next week: none

Week 4
The sun finally came out (around 8:10)!
It went pretty smoothly with all the delays and team shuffling and it didn’t rain (for long).
Well let get in to it….
SandBagger of the Week:
Ted "Who’s your Daddy?" Cowles: Ted shot a fine round of net 30, leaving his opponent wondering what he did to make Ted mad! Good round Ted!
Byrdie Club:
3 newbies: Tom Confrey birdied the par 5 11th hole while Ted "Who’s your Daddy?" Cowles and Ed Williams birdied the par 4 18th hole. Great shooting gentlemen!
Subs for next Week: Rob

Golf tip of the week:
If you need to pick up debris around your golf ball and throw it into the woods, make sure the debris doesn’t include your golf ball!
