Week 11

Thanks again to Airways for the carts!

With all that roll last night, water was in play on the 16^th hole.

Utility man Larry pinched hit for Bill Gallagher to help keep the team of Gallagher / Keilich in 1^st place.  I’m not saying that Larry and Hermann had a fast round (90 min), but I heard that Larry was already home by the time the last 4some came into the club house.

The CrossRoads band will be playing at the Rockledge Grille in W. Hartford on August 9^th.  Rumor is, Ted may have a solo! 

SandBagger of the Week: 

There was a tie between "Yukon" Williams and Manny Russell. Both ending up with a net low of 29.  Great round Ed and Manny! 

Byrdie Club: 

To get his low net round, Manny Russell shot 2 birds. 1^st one on the par 4 12^th hole and the 2^nd on the par 4 18^th hole.  Great shooting Manny!

Week 10

Shane Lowry looking for John at the Open…..

John sent a few pictures from the Open, starting with Stewart Cink, Ryan Fox, Ernie, Bubba, someone to far away to tell, Sergio, DJ, McDowell, Westwood… and then his battery died after the Lowry picture.  I wanted him to get a picture of him and Shane drinking out of the Claret jug!

Week 9

Thanks to Airways for the golf carts!  (it’s easier to hold your beer!)

Wow the ball rolled and rolled….oh wait that was my ball going down the cart path!

It was good to see John Gallagher back on the golf course.  He’s a little taller than I remember!

SandBagger of the Week: 

The low net of 28, held by both Bill Oravec and Larry’s partner, didn’t last very long…. Joe Alvarez shot a low net of 27, this week.  Great round Joe! 

Byrdie Club: 

Len Stadnicki bagged his 2^nd bird of the season on the par 3 13^th hole and John Gallagher missed the eagle and had to settle for bird on the par5 11^th hole.  Great shooting gentlemen!

Week 8

It only took 8 weeks, but finally, Abbott and Costello got bumped out of 1st place.

There were some good scores this week.

We had T.C. shooting a great 38, only to get beat by Larry’s partner!  That’s tough one.

Byrdie Club: 

Ted Cowles and T.C. bagged their 1^st birds of the season on the pa4 5 11^th hole.  A little historic fact, who came up with buying a pitcher of beer when getting a birdie; Kevin Kearns got his 1^st on the par 5 11^th hole and his 2^nd bird on the par 5 16^th hole.  I heard he had to take out a loan for all those pitchers!  Great shooting gentlemen!
