Week 14

What’s the difference between a rainy day in April and a rainy day in August? - About 40 degrees!!!

Thanks to Bob Kemp and Airways for the use of the golf carts.

Championship Team of the Year:

Congratulation to Kevin Kearns and Manny Russell: this year’s Phoenix League Team Champions!

Kearns / Russell dismantled the 2nd place team of Deyette / Stadnicki, making it mathematically impossible to be over-taken.

This will mark the 3rd time out of 4 years that Kearns / Russell have won the League Championship.

Player of the Year:

It’s turning out to be a 2-man race between Kevin Kearns and Ted Cowles. Kevin still has a slim 2.5 point lead over Ted and with only 2 more weeks, Ted needs a little help.

SandBagger of the Week:

Nick "I like the rain" Billeter, who shot a fine 29 net. I wonder? Was he using a water ball? Great round Nick!

Byrdie Club:

Maybe because it was raining or maybe it was the aeration/sanding of the greens, but there were no birdies last night.

Eagle Club:

It’s looking like a shutout!

Two more weeks of golf:

1 regular week
1 Championship round (?) or as I’m calling it now – Position night.

End-of-the-Year Tournament:

I will be sending out more info on the End-of-the Year tournament soon:

Bonus Photo of the Week:

Tom and Dan were on vacation in Florida last week.  Tom ended up in a little sand trap:

Tom says he was able to get out of this one, but ended up in another trap (though not quite as severe)
